Dayabout gives any U.S. address a clear risk score, plus a full breakdown across five categories — Immediate Threats, Chronic Exposures, Community Resources, Financial & Livability, and Live Conditions — drawn from U.S. public-agency data. It adds live weather and hazard alerts and an on-device AI analyst that explains what a location's risk means.

A deterministic engine reads ZIP-indexed U.S. public-agency data across 19 indicators. The headline score reflects a location's immediate-safety posture; the other categories are shown as breakdown sub-scores, each benchmarked against national and state averages. Scoring is deterministic — identical inputs always produce an identical score, because the app reads pre-computed values from a bundled dataset rather than estimating at runtime.

Scoring is built on authoritative U.S. public-agency data, including FEMA, the FBI, USGS, the EPA, NOAA / the National Weather Service, and the U.S. Census Bureau, among other public agencies. The in-app Data Sources catalog lists each source and its role.

Yes. The risk dataset ships inside the app, so core scoring, the map, and the AI analyst work with no connection. Live layers — weather, alerts, air quality, and other real-time conditions — refresh when you are online.

No. Your precise location never leaves your device. When you enable live layers, only a coarse ZIP-area location is sent to U.S. public-agency APIs to fetch local conditions — never to us, and never for tracking. You can also type an address manually without granting location permission.

Yes. Dayabout is free to download and includes core risk scoring, the full interactive map, live weather and alerts, and limited AI analyst access — with no time limit and no account. Subscriptions add every risk category, unlimited AI, saved locations with iCloud sync, route comparison, and report export.

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel anytime in your device Settings under your Apple Account → Subscriptions. See the Terms of Use for details. Refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store.

A private AI that explains a location's risk in plain language. It runs entirely on your device using Apple's frameworks — no question, address, or score is ever sent to any external AI service or third party.

On paid tiers, saved locations sync through your own private iCloud (CloudKit) account. Only the label and ZIP area are stored — never precise coordinates, and nothing that SentryVista can access. There is no SentryVista server.

Dayabout is built to support VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and sufficient color contrast, following WCAG 2.1 AA guidance. If you hit an accessibility barrier, email us and we will fix it.
